I know a lot of people are planning to buy the new N8, and you will have a lot of questions in your mind related to the quality of the phone and here is your answer for the question Why N8?
The phone is fantastic, feels beautiful in hand and the bullet shaped ends look a lot better in person than in pictures and they give it an excellent feel, it weights 135 gms, and is the best smart phone to hold on the market right now, obviously.
I used a Nikon SLR and now that camera is on rest since I got the new N8. The camera is amazing, shutter speed is actually brilliant, flash is only good, but for a camera phone it is brilliant and perfectly acceptable for the average user. If you want to shoot something on HD here is the best platform in your hands there is an editing software is inbuilt in the camera.
hardware: screen excellent, camera excellent, call quality excellent, loudspeaker excellent, i don't think anybody can beat Nokia on hardware,The hardware part is strong enough to meet the high demands of the present day application era. Dark metal is nice to see in your palms.
software: very enjoyable, app store is actually acceptable, It is very easy to learn the OS the Symbian. threaded sms is nice, yahoo email sync seamless, social app that comes with is effective and useful and the widget is pretty but takes a few seconds too long to load, there are of course other social apps. music player and photo viewer are excellent, photo editor is quite good too. The three personalised home screens and the TV programmes on your phone is also incredible. You need to download games from Ovi mstore and there are a lot of it there on Stock.Whether you love football, rugby or any Indore games there is enough space to load and play. Need Speed shift is free to download and its actually brilliant, Ovi Maps and voice guided navigation is very good, and throw away your old navigator. The nokia web browser needs an update and i believe this is coming in the next month or so ,so its opera all the way in the meantime and opera is very good.
Problems: The battery life is small since the phone use a lot of energy for flash and camera works. The key board has to be little slow, for the first time users. Some people told me that the shape should follow the smart phone cult, that is little more squarish.
I love this phone very much from the use and love the overall performance of the phone. The OS Symbian has vastly improved and is much more user friendly and i mean it is really improved, its not as pretty or a simple as an iPhone but it is pretty and fairly simple. The software is very usable, if symbian didn't bother you that much you'll love it, If you have a smart phone and only use it for calling and playing with a few apps id recommend apple, its pretty and simple and you'll enjoy it, if you spend too much time with your phone and want it to do everything this is the one,The price difference is another inters ting thing with other smart phones Nokia brought all these for around 400 Euro, comparing with other smart phones in the market its price is almost 70 to 100 Euro down. The phone is very speedy in its functions even though it took quite long time to download certain applications it can be forgivable while considering the overall performance.
